10/10! Instead of old textbooks about 'how to write a formal letter' or 'let's make a CV in class,' we analyzed real cases and tasks: business correspondence in Slack, online presentations on Zoom, and negotiations with foreigners on current topics. I especially remember the lesson on management and different product management strategies—it was like a workshop with an expert, but in English.
We even broke down how ChatGPT can help at work and discussed its pros and cons.
Overall, the course doesn't make you cram; it provides useful skills. Some might miss more grammar, but it was perfect for me—just the necessary structures without pages from Grammar in Use. If you need to improve your English specifically for work without extra theory—I recommend it.

A very convenient lesson format! I like doing grammar and vocabulary exercises on my own, and I feel that live lessons should be more 'conversational' than typical classes. In this regard, lessons with Alex are an ideal fit.
There were only 3 people in the group, so everyone had enough time and attention from the teacher.
I also really liked the choice of topics; I didn't even expect to be interested in discussing construction and cars. It's an excellent boost for general knowledge!

When generic General English courses failed to engage a team of SPbPU engineers due to a lack of practical relevance, we stepped in. Together, we agreed on a custom learning program and developed targeted materials to make their language training directly applicable.
