After quick introductions, we dive into the topic with a discussion starter—this could be a thought-provoking quote, a news headline, or a brainstorm. It's a productive way to get everyone engaged.
Next, we focus on language. This typically involves exercises to activate key vocabulary and grammar. For example, we might take 8-10 topic-related words or phrases and practice them through 2-3 conversational activities done in pairs or small groups (e.g., interviews, gap-fill exercises, rephrasing, building collocations).
After the language block, we open the floor to discuss various aspects of the chosen topic. Activities include open questions, analyzing pros and cons, agreeing/disagreeing with statements, playing "Devil's Advocate," and breaking down modern business cases.
